7:0 Յաղագս Աստուծոյ սքանչելեացն` որ եղեն ի Ներսէս եւ կամ ի Բարսիլիոս. եւ վասն նախանձուն Եւսեբի եպիսկոպոսի առ Բարսիլիոս:

 7:0 About God’s miracles that were performed on Nerses and Basil, and how Bishop Eusebius envied Basil:

7:1 Իսկ եպիսկոպոսն Կեսարու Եւսեբիոս յորժամ ետես զզարմանալիսն զնախ իջանել զաղաւնոյն` որ եկն ի յերկնից, եւ հանգչել նախ յերիցապետն Կեսարու սուրբն Բարսիլիոս, ի դժկամակ միտս լինէր ընդ նմա. եւ տեսանէր զնա իբրեւ զիւր հակառակորդ եւ զթշնամի:

 7:1 And the Bishop of Caesarea, Eusebius, when he saw that miracle, namely, that a dove descended from heaven first landed on the Caesarean archpriest, Saint Basil, he hated him in his thoughts and began to consider him his opponent and enemy:

7:2 Քանզի հռչակ հարեալ էր ընդ երկիր ամենայն. ասէին եւ պատմէին` թէ յորժամ ձեռնադրէին զսուրբ կաթողիկոսն Ներսէս, էջ հանգեաւ ի նմանութիւն աղաւնոյ ի վերայ` նախ յերիցապետն ի սուրբ Բարսիլիոս. եւ ապա յարուցեալ նստաւ ի քահանայապետն Ներսէս:

 7:2 since the news had already spread throughout the country that at the ordination of the holy Catholicos Nerses (the Holy Spirit) in the form of a dove descended and sat first on the holy Archpriest Basil, and then, flying from him, sat on the high priest Nerses:

7:3 Եւ այս հռչակ հարկանէր զնոցանէ. մանաւանդ յաշխարհն Գամրաց:

 7:3 This fame about them especially spread in the country Gamirk:

7:4 Մեծապէս թուէին մարդկանն սքանչելիքն ամենայն. եւ ամենայն մարդ պատուէին զսուրբն Բարսիլիոս:

 7:4 People were in awe of this miracle, and everyone revered Saint Basil:

7:5 Մանաւանդ վասն սրբութեան վարուցն նորա, եւ կարգացն ճշմարտութեան, եւ բազում խոնարհութեան նորա, եւ վասն աստուածախօս ջերմեռանդն աղօթիցն նորա, եւ վասն վարուց կարգաց պարկեշտութեանն. եւ կամ վասն աղքատսիրութեանն եւ վասն տառապելասէր վարուցն, եւ պատուիրանակատար մշտակիր հանապազորդութեան նորա, կամ վասն բազում գիտութեանն, զի աղբիւր էր անպակաս իմաստութեամբն. եւ վասն ուսուցիչ վարդապետութեան նորա, զի փիլիսոփայական արուեստիւն խնոյր առականէր հանապազ զամենայն զուր բացեալ զբերանս հերետիկոսացն, եւ զհաւատս ճշմարիտ ամենասուրբ Երրորդութեանն ամենեցուն հաստատէր:

 7:5 Especially since he was of impeccable behavior, observed the rules of the true faith, was distinguished by great humility, prayed fervently to God, behaved decently, loved the poor and sufferers, and always fulfilled the commandments of God in everything. In addition, he possessed great knowledge, was an inexhaustible source of wisdom and a devoted teacher of Christ’s teaching, for with his philosophical art he always silenced the unbridled mouths of heretics, forced them to be silent and firmly defended the true faith in the Most Holy Trinity before everyone:

7:6 Վասն այսր ամենայնի նայէին ընդ նա իբրեւ ընդ առաքեալ Քրիստոսի, իբրեւ զհրեշտակ երկնաւոր. եւ ամենայն ոք վկայէր` թէ արժանի իսկ էր Հոգւոյն Աստուծոյ:

 7:6 As a result of all this, everyone looked at him as an apostle of Christ, as a heavenly angel, and everyone testified that he was truly worthy of God’s Spirit:

7:7 Իսկ նա զանձն կարի ի խոնարհութեան ունէր, եւ անարժան համարէր, թէպէտ եւ ամենայն ոք վասն գիտութեան արուեստին կարօտէր առ նա գալ. մանաւանդ արտաքինքն իսկ ճարտարապետք փիլիսոփայիցն առ նա ընթանային վասն իւրեանց արուեստին:

 7:7 And he himself behaved very modestly and considered himself unworthy, although everyone willingly went to him — because of his scholarship, especially knowledgeable leaders visited him from the side: philosophers on issues of their art:

7:8 Այլ նա զբազումս դարձուցանէր ի պէսպէս յիւրաքանչիւր կարծեացն խոտորութենէ ի ճշմարտութեանն հաւատս, երկրպագուս Քրիստոսի անթիւս մարդկան կացուցանէր:

 7:8 And he of many of them he converted from various errors to the true faith, and countless people were converted into worshippers of Christ:

7:9 Եւ ամենայն երկիր սկսան ի նա նայել, որպէս թէ անդուստ յերկնից ի վերուստ իջեալ իցէ. այնչափ` որպէս զի թէ կամիցի ոք պատմել, ոչ կարասցէ:

 7:9 The whole country began to look at him as if he had descended from the very sky — to such an extent that if anyone wants to tell, they will not be able to:

7:10 Այլ յորժամ խոժոռադէմ երեսօք տեսանէր զիւր եպիսկոպոսն ընդ ինքեան, սուրբն Բարսիլիոս տեղի տայր նմա, թողոյր զքաղաքն, եւ գնայր նա անտի, ելեալ բնակէր մի ի շինացն` ուր եւ նմա պատշաճ իցէ կալ անդ:

 7:10 But when he saw the gloomy face of his bishop turned to him, Saint Basil gave in to him, left the city, went to live in one of the villages where it was more convenient for him:
