13:301 Կէտ եդեալ զԺամանակն՝ զամիսն վեցերորդ, տագնապէին եւ ստիպէին արքունի հրամանաւ:

 13:301 He fixed a time, six months, and they spared no efforts in fulfilling the royal command:

13:302 Մինչեւ ի նաւասարդէ ի նաւասարդ, ասէ, յամենայն տեղիս՝ որ իցեն ընդ իշխանութեամբ թագաւորին մեծի, բարձցին կարգք եկեղեցւոյ, փակեսցին եւ կնքեսցին դրունք սուրբ տաճարացն, գրով համարով առցին նուիրեալ սպասքն յարքունիս, լռեսցեն ձայնք սաղմոսացն եւ դադարեսցեն ընթերցուածք անսուտ մարգարէիցն:

 13:302 From Navasard to Navasard,” he said, “in every place that is under the authority of the great king, church services shall be suppressed, the doors of the holy temples shall be shut and sealed, the sacred vessels shall be numbered and taken to court, the singing of psalms shall be silenced, the readings of the true prophets shall cease:

13:303 Քահանայք մի՛ իշխեսցեն ի տունս իւրեանց ուսուցանել զժողովուրդս, եւ հաւատացեալքն ի Քրիստոս՝ արք եւ կանայք, որ բնակեալ են յիւրաքանչիւր մենանոցս, փոխեսցեն զհանդերձս իւրեանց ըստ աշխարհական կարգաց:

 13:303 Priests shall not be allowed to instruct the people in their own homes, and the believers in Christ, men and women who dwell each in their own monasteries, shall change their garments for secular attire:

13:304 Դարձեալ եւ կանայք նախարարացն կալցին զուսումն վարդապետութեան մոգացն:

 13:304 Furthermore, the wives of the princes shall receive the magi’s instruction:

13:305 Ուստերք եւ դստերք ազատաց եւ շինականաց կրթեսցին ի հրահանգս նոցուն մոգաց:

 13:305 Sons and daughters of the nobility and peasantry shall study the precepts of these same magi:

13:306 Կարճեսցին եւ արգելցին աւրէնք սուրբ ամուսնութեան, զոր ունէին ի նախնեաց ըստ կարգի քրիստոնէութեանն. այլ փոխանակ ընդ կնոջ միոյ՝ բազում կանայս արասցեն. զի աճեցեալ բազմասցին ազգք Հայոց:

 13:306 The laws of holy matrimony which they received from their forefathers according to Christian ritual shall be abrogated and abolished; instead of one wife they shall take many, so that the Armenian nation may increase and multiply:

13:307 Դստերք հարանց լինիցին, եւ քորք՝ եղբարց. մարք մի՛ ելցեն յորդւոց, այլ եւ թոռունք ելցեն յանկողինս հաւուց:

 13:307 Daughters shall be wives for fathers, and sisters for brothers. Mothers shall not withdraw from sons, and grandchildren shall ascend the couch of grandparents:

13:308 Պատրուճակք մի՛ մեռցին անյազ, եթէ յաւդեաց իցէ եւ եթէ յայծեաց եւ եթէ յարջառոց եւ եթէ ի հաւուց եւ եթէ ի խոզաց:

 13:308 Sacrificial animals shall not be killed without being offered to the gods, be they sheep, goats, cattle, fowl, or pigs:

13:309 Հայսք առանց փանդամի մի՛ զանգցին. ծիւք եւ քակորք ի կրակ մի՛ եկեսցեն. ձեռք առանց գումիզոյ մի՛ լուասցին. շնջրիք եւ աղուէսք եւ նապաստակք մի՛ մեռցին:

 13:309 Dough shall not be kneaded without a veil. Excrement and dung shall not be thrown into fire. Hands shall not be washed without urine. Otters, foxes, and hares shall not be killed:

13:310 Աւձք եւ մողէսք, գորտք եւ մրջմունք, եւ որ այլ եւս խառնափնդոր բազմաճճիք են, մի՛ կայցեն, այլ վաղ թուով համարով ի մէջ բերցեն ըստ արքունի չափոյն:

 13:310 Snakes and lizards, frogs and ants, and all other various kinds of insects shall not be left, but promptly shall be brought forth in appropriate numbers according to the royal measure:

13:311 Եւ որ այլ եւս ինչ սպասք իցեն, կամ զոհից կամ սպանդից, ըստ տաւնական կարգին՝ տարեւոր թուականին, եւ ըստ կապճաթիւ մոխրաչափ կարգին:

 13:311 And whatever other duties there are, either of offerings or sacrifices, shall be performed according to the yearly festival rites and the due amount of ashes:

13:312 Զայս ամենայն զոր ասացաք՝ առ ժամանակ մի մինչեւ ի գլուխ տարւոյ կատարեսցեն ամենեքեան. եւ զայլն ամենայն առ յապա պատրաստեսցեն:

 13:312 Everyone shall fulfill all that we have said for a period of time up to the completion of a year; and to everything else they shall address themselves in the future:

13:313 Իսկ զայս ամենայն հրաման պատուիրանաց առեալ մոգաց եւ մոգպետաց, զտիւ եւ զգիշեր փութային հասանել յաշխարհն Հայոց. եւ առ յոյժ խնդութեանն ոչ երբէք յագէին երկայնութեամբ ճանապարհին:

 13:313 When the magi and chief-magi received all these instructions, day and night they hastened to Armenia. And in their great joy they were never wearied by the length of the journey:
