9:0 Յաղագս կաթողիկոսութեան Տեառն Խաչկայ եւ շինելոյ զեկեղեցին եւ զտուն կաթողիկոսարանին ի գիւղն Արգինայ:

 9:0 About the patriarchate of Bishop Khachik and the construction of a church and a patriarchal palace in the village of Argina:

9:1 Յաւուրս ԿիւռԺանայ Յունաց կայսեր եւ ի թագաւորութեան Հայոց Աշոտոյ ի [ՆԻԱ] թուականին, զկնի Վահանայ եւ Ստեփանոսի, եկաց կաթողիկոս Հայոց Տէր Խաչիկ եպիսկոպոս Արշարունեաց քուերորդի Տեառն Անանիայի, որ միապետեալ խաղաղացոյց զաշխարհս Հայոց [ԺԹ] ամս:

 9:1 In the days of the Greek emperor Kiwr-Zan, during the reign of the Armenian king Ashot, in [421=982], after (patriarchs) Vahan and Stepanos, Bishop Khachik, Bishop of Arsharunik, nephew (by sister) of Ananias, became catholicos, concentrating (spiritual power in his hands), restored calm in the Armenian land: (he ruled) for [19] years:

9:2 Եւ նորոգեաց զտուն կաթողիկոսարանին ի Շիրակ գաւառի ի գիւղաքաղաքին Արգինայ, յեզերս Ախուրեան գետոյ, ի հանգստարանի Տեառն Անանիայի Հայոց վերադիտողի:

 9:2 He renewed the patriarchal palace in the town of Argina in the Shirak district on the banks of the Axurean River, at the (place) of the burial place of the Armenian archpastor, lord Anania:

9:3 Եւ ի նմին գեւղ շինեաց զսուրբ կաթողիկէ եկեղեցին վիմարդեան կոփածոյիւք, հաստահեղոյս արձանաւք գմբէթարդ խորան երկնանման, հանդերձ եւս երիւք եկեղեցեաւք՝ նոյնաձեւ, հրաշատեսակ, չքնաղագեղ յաւրինուածովք, եւ զարդարեաց մեծապայծառ, ծիրանածաղիկ, ոսկեթել անկուածովք ի զարդ ոսկւոյ եւ արծաթոյ եւ ամենազարդ պայծառութեան ջահաբորբոք լուսաւոր անաւթոց. այլ եւ զաստուածախաւս կտակս յոլովակի ստացեալ, զԳիրս սուրբս զառաքելասացս եւ զմարգարէաքարոզ պատգամս, հանդերձ ամենայն վարդապետացն ձայնիւք:

 9:3 In the same village, (Bishop Khachik) built a cathedral church of hewn stone, bound with iron, with a dome painted like the sky, with three other churches of similar marvelously beautiful architecture, providing them with luxurious, with purple designs, gold-woven and silver-woven robes, chandeliers and vessels burning like heat. (For the same churches) he acquired the divine covenants, the sacred epistles of the apostles and the commandments of the prophets, along with the creations of all the fathers-teachers:

9:4 Եւ յաւուրս սորա էին վարդապետքն Յովհաննէս՝ խաչակիրն Քրիստոսի, որ տկար բանիւ եւ մեծ գիտութեամբ բացայայտէր զգիտութիւն Գրոց սրբոց:

9:7 Եւ Կիրակոս գծծակերպ գիտնականն, որ վարուք առաւել քան թէ բանիւք վարդապետէր. որ բնակէր յոլովակի յանապատին, որ Թեղենիսն կոչի, ի Նիգ գաւառի, առ հաւր Երեմիայի ճգնաւորին Քրիստոսի եւ ընկերակցի իմոյ:
